Did the Hemi Dart ever qualify as a Drag Special?

Well, did it? I can't remember if it came with fiberglass body panels and all the stuff Ford put into the T-Bolt.

I think the front hood and fenders were fiberglass and it wasn't even available painted they came in primer. Obviously they assumed the tires would be replaced.

Ah, that picture makes a lot more sense now, thanks! I know very little about this car to be honest, since all the information we get about Darts here in Brazil is about... Well, the hundreds of Dart varieties sold in here between 1969 and 1981 as a complete lineup.

The Hurst prepped Hemi Darts and Hemi Barracudas were definitely drag specials. They were hand built and came without a VIN. IIRC (and I don't feel like looking it up) the front fenders and hoods on these cars were aluminum, not fiberglass.
